Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a popular superstar worldwide who is renowned for his work as a WWE wrestler and as a Hollywood superstar. In an attempt to promote his film ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ in India the actor decided to take the unconventional way. He tried to understand the game since he thought that cricket is the national obsession in India and it is the best possible way to promote his film.

In a video shared by Sony Pictures, The Rock can be seen trying to understand the rules of cricket. He watches the umpires movements and tries to guess what it means when the umpire raises his finger to give the batsman out, when he signals a no-ball and when the umpire calls for a referral from the third umpire.

Identified MS Dhoni’s signature shot

The Rock gives hilarious explanations and creates aspects of his own as the video progresses. When the umpire raises his finger, the former wrestler thinks that the umpire is telling him that he is number one. He managed to identify MS Dhoni’s signature Helicopter shot.

The video is an absolute treat to watch

The Rock gained popularity in India and elsewhere when he was a part of WWE in the wonderful old days of the Attitude Era. His rivalry with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Vince McMahon and Kurt Angle was seen to be thrilling by the fans and the jump in the television ratings a proof of that. This allowed WWE to beat WCW in the Monday Night Wars.

He later left pro wrestling to pursue a career in Hollywood, he has been highly successful in Hollywood since he moved to Los Angeles. The Rock has become one of the biggest actors in the world and has starred in many blockbusters like the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise. He is also the highest-paid actor in the world and is currently dominating box-office figures back in America. The Rock earlier made headlines in India when he worked with Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra in a Hollywood film ‘Baywatch’.

The Rock’s method of promoting his new film in India seems unusual yet incredible and his fans are delighted as the wrestler turned actor took time to acknowledge his fans in India.
