The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja has accused Australia of playing ‘happily’ against India without their usual aggressive approach. The 59-year-old also said that the Aussie players have even changed their DNA for the sake of the money they make by playing in the IPL.

Adding that international cricketers now have pressure to save their IPL contracts, Raja further opined that cricketers receive a lot of money as well as several add-ons by taking part in the IPL.

“Australians have changed their DNA because of money, they play against India happily and without aggressive approach. International cricketers have pressure as now they want to save their IPL contracts where they receive a lot of money plus add-ons,” Raja was quoted as saying to ARY News.

New Zealand ran away and now England followed suit: Ramiz Raja

Ramiz Raja also reckoned that both England and New Zealand ran away without playing against Pakistan. The current PCB Chairman even added that both these sides have ‘wronged’ Pakistan. “New Zealand ran away and England followed the same suit. They both have done wrong against us,” said Raja.

Ramiz Raja also revealed what former Pakistan cricketer and current Prime Minister Imran Khan told him. Khan was not happy with both England and New Zealand pulling out, and told Raja that Pakistan has not committed any mistake, and does not need to give any explanation regarding the matter.

“They did wrong over not touring but it’s their choice. We don’t have to give more explanations as it is not our mistake, they are at a loss,” said Ramiz Raja about what Khan told him.

The New Zealand cricket team pulled out of its limited-overs series against Pakistan citing security concerns. England followed suit too and stated that they will not play against Pakistan as well, as their cricketers might be fatigued.

Ramiz Raja played 57 Tests and 198 ODI matches for the Pakistan side. While he scored 2833 runs in the whites, Raja plundered 5841 runs in coloured clothing. Raja played his last international match for Pakistan in the year 1997.
