One of the popular commentators in India, Harsha Bhogle gave a complete scare to all the cricketing fans after pulling out in an Instagram live session midway. The sentences of “Kya hua? Kaun hai? Kaha se aa gaye? (What happened! Who are you? Where did you come from?” from Bhogle, certainly looked like he was attacked by a stranger and even the anchor of the show looked quite shocked after the incident.
However, later in the day, the 60-year-old mentioned that it was all preplanned for a promotional post which left the fans frustrated despite the former apologizing for the act. Bhogle noted that he did not expect this to become such a big issue and even found it embarrassing looking at the love shown by his fans in the country. He claimed that he is all fine and there is nothing worry to about.
“I am fine. Sorry to have got a lot of you worried. Thank you for the love and concern. It became more viral than I anticipated. That too is a learning. It was meant to lead to something else. Sorry. And cheers,” Bhogle tweeted.
“You learn something new every day. It seemed a lighthearted thing to do but in its execution, it became something that I didn’t think it would. I am actually a bit embarrassed now,” he added.

Fans unhappy with the stunt from Bhogle
However, after coming to know it was fully planned, the fans vented out their frustrations on social media over the incident as they were completely disturbed by the video footage. The fans noted that they did not expect this from a highly respectable person like Bhogle and wanted the people who were involved with the prank to be fired.
Some of his fans also revealed their disappointments over not coming up with the truth of the incident early and instead waited for more than an hour to open up about the matter. Notably, Bhogle will be a part of the upcoming IPL 2022 commentary panel and he has never failed to entertain the fans watching the game on Television with his amazing commentating skills.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Bhogle’s apology post
The Harsha prank was totally uncalled for and wasn't needed specially since we already had a situation with IPL auctioneer. He should fire people who are involved with that prank. #HarshaBhogle

Hope Harsha Bhogle sir is fine. That was scary. And honestly I don't think Harsha sir can do anything like that just for fun. Not a prank imo.

No, Harsha. That stupid and ridiculous prank was simply not on. You’ve built an image by sheer professionalism, in the cricketing circuit. To see someone like you resorting to such appalling pranks, to attract a few eyeballs, is really disheartening #HarshaBhogle #IPL2022

The thing which irritates me the most of the Harsha Bhogle incident is that he clarified he was okay after an hour. He could've notified 10-15 minutes after the incident. Whole Twitter community was worried, I don't know what was going through his mind. #HarshaBhogle

The campaign thought is interesting (will be out in a few days) but the way it was done, especially when terror rumours and all were floating today, it was a bit too much for the fans to handle. #HarshaBhogle
