In an old video that resurfaced on media recently, Virat Kohli is making a statement that is very unlike him and something that Anushka Sharma would disapprove of had she seen it. It was during the IPL Nights almost 8 years back that he said so, in an interview with VJ Anusha Dandekar.

However, this was the time when Virat Kohli was termed as the brash, spoilt brat and had just started his professional career. The video is a reminder of how much Kohli has evolved as a cricketer as well as a person.

In a kind of rapid-fire session, he was asked what was his quickest date. VK answered by saying it was 5 minutes because it was a blind date and confessed that ran away because the girl was too ugly, thereby, coming across as someone arrogant and ungroomed. It’s hard to imagine him say or look like that today, but that’s why his transformation is applauded by one and all.

If VJ Anusha, Virat and Anushka do come across this video now, needless to say, all would be shocked. Anushka Sharma is one of those actresses who has always stood by feminism and against comments like these. As a matter of fact, Kohli’s change in mindset has been reflected in his various statements and posts over the last few years where he has shown high compassion and encouraged women empowerment.

Years after that interview, the Indian captain is the only Indian athlete to be listed in the world’s highest paid sportspersons in the Forbes. The list is topped by none other than Real Madrid footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. The skipper has not only grown leaps and bounds as a player but also as a person. In fact, he has admitted himself that he has changed a lot as a person and gives a lot of credit to Anushka Sharma for the same, according to his recent interview with Zee News along with Amir Khan.
