Since his international debut in 2016, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah came a long way. When he emerged onto the scenes, there were many experts and analyst who wrote his off due to his peculiar bowling action. They said that he’d have several injury problems as he applies a lot of pressure on his knee at the moment he releases the ball. Many of them claimed that he would be a great option in the long run.

However, three years down the line, things have changed quite literally. Jasprit Bumrah has only gone from strength to strength and there has been no looking back for him. He has made the best use of his unorthodox bowling action to trouble batsmen. Furthermore, he has kept on adding several different weapons to his armoury at all times. Be it the yorker, slower bouncer or a ball that could swing either way, the pacer has mastered it all. While he continues to puzzle many batsmen, he was once puzzled by an anchor who asked him to pick the better captain between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

And, the answer from Jasprit Bumrah is…

Jasprit Bumrah was put into quite a tricky situation when this question was asked. Quite obviously, he responded by saying that it was a tough question for him. However, he picked MS Dhoni as his choice as he made his debut under the legendary wicket-keeper batsman. “Yeah, this is a tough question. But, for me, MS Dhoni. Because I made his debut under him,” the 25-year-old said.

There has always been a constant debate about the better captain between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Both these men have helped take Indian cricket to greater heights. The 38-year-old is regarded to be the best Indian captain ever. However, he has got great competition from Virat Kohli who is currently excelling in all the three formats.

By winning the two-match Test series against West Indies, Virat Kohli now has become the Indian captain with the most number of Test wins. He went past Dhoni who has got 27 Test wins under his belt. Kohli has already tasted great success overseas than any other skipper.
