Team India will kickstart their home leg of the 2017-2018 season with five match ODI series against mighty Australians, the first of which is scheduled to be played at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai on 17 September. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made the announcement regarding schedule through social media.

With just 10 days to go for Australia’s tour of India, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) who will host first of five ODIs have announced ticket scenario for the general public, on Thursday. According to sources, tickets will be sold from 10 September and the starting price fixed by TNCA is Rs 1200, followed by tickets priced Rs 2400, Rs 4,800, Rs 8,000.

Hospitality box tickets at M A Chidambaram stadium would cost Rs 12,000 each while those for Pavilion terrace would be priced at Rs 8,000. Fans can also buy tickets online through website bookmyshow.com, the release added. Due to the imposition of Goods and Service Tax (GST) and Municipality and Entertainment Tax the prices have gone up marginally, which eventually has hiked the prices by Rs 450. The three stand, “I”, “J” and “K” will continue to remain locked out, which isn’t a great sign either.
