Tiruppur Police cite MS Dhoni’s example to spread social distancing awareness

Ever since the coronavirus pandemic has come to the fore, the entire country of India has been straining to get back to normalcy. Even as the scientists are trying their hearts out to churn out a vaccine, the citizens around the country are keeping their fingers crossed. The future is a blur and it’s not a surprise that panic buying has crept in to quite a large extent.

The Indian government has been trying its heart out to send out the guidelines needed in the COVID-19 pandemic. Two of the most important protocols are social distancing and keeping oneself sanitized, as a precautionary measure to the ungodly virus. From Minister Narendra Modi to a number of celebrities, a number of colossal figures have been spreading awareness.

In the meantime, Tiruppur Police in Tamil Nadu came up with a unique method to make people aware. They have used MS Dhoni’s name to help people out. They used the Jharkhand-born Dhoni’s initials ‘MSD’ to name Maintain Social Distancing (MSD)

Dhoni was set to make a comeback in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the T20 tournament, he would have played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), but it had to be postponed for an indefinite time period due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was learned that Dhoni was in contention for the T20 World Cup, which has also come under the clouds due to the pandemic.

A couple of weeks earlier, Dhoni turned 39 years old and on the auspicious day, he was showered with wishes from every nook and corner of the country. Though he hasn’t been on the field for quite a while, it hasn’t affected his fandom by any stretch of the imagination.
