However, KL Rahul was quick enough to spot his friend’s position in the picture as he came up with an interesting comment. The keeper-batter noticed that Agarwal’s toe was in the air whilst playing the shot. After having observed it, KL Rahul pointed out Mayank’s habit of keeping his toe in the air while playing a drive.

“Toe is still up bro @davidkmathias @mayankagarawal @ronitmore,” he commented. Mayank Agarwal was also quick enough to react to his comment. “don’t change what comes naturally to you they say !” he wrote in the reply. Both the players share a special bond with each other on and off-field. They have often stitched in some important partnerships while playing for Punjab Kings in the IPL.

Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul might open the innings for India in the Test series against the Kiwis

BCCI has recently announced India’s squad for the two-match Test series against New Zealand. Rohit Sharma will miss the Test series and thus it opens doors for Mayank Agarwal to take up the opening role. Shubman Gill stays his tough contender for the opening slot but the team might try him in the middle order.

This thus means that Agarwal is a strong alternative for team India to open the innings. Virat Kohli is been rested for the first Test and is expected to regroup with the side for the second Test match. Ajinkya Rahane is appointed as the skipper of the side for the first Test match in Kohli’s absence.
