Pakistan Super League (PSL) was a major success last year. However, the upcoming edition of the PSL is going to be bigger and better. New PSL team Multan Sultan’s head coach Tom Moody revealed he is ready to travel to Pakistan if his franchise, Multan Sultans, makes it to the final stages of the upcoming third edition of the tournament.

Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody looks upbeat and hopeful that his team would qualify for the finals of the PSL, and that they would get the opportunity to play at both venues Karachi and Lahore. Moody was signed by the franchise earlier in September. The 52-year-old had plied his trade with several international teams and also the IPL, and will bring in a lot of experience in the squad.

Moody was quoted as saying by media outlet Dawn, “Yes, I’ll be joining the team for the games in Pakistan. Hopefully, we will qualify for the finals and get the opportunity to play at both venues – Karachi and Lahore.”

Moody believes Pakistan will witness more international stars in the future

Insisting that his side were a perfect blend of experienced and young players, Moody remained confident that Multan Sultans would surely be competitive throughout the entire tournament.

When quizzed if the future of PSL is secure, Moody said Pakistan fans will get to see more international stars in action in their country soon. Despite all the mishaps that happened in the terror-stricken country, he said the comfort level of the players to travel to the country would surely improve with time.

PSL 3 is likely to begin on February 22 next year and will feature six teams for the first time. A total number of 34 matches will be held, including 10 games to be organized in Lahore and Karachi.
