1. Rohit Sharma – 209:

On November 4, 2013, the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore saw an absolute carnage in the form of Rohit Sharma’s 209 from 158 balls. This was the third double-hundred in the format, after Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. The Indian fans had not imagined that they would be treated with a special batting spectacle when India won the toss and elected to bat first. Sharma opened the innings and just like most of his stupendous knocks ended up playing till the end of the innings. The special thing about this knock was the pace at which he scored. Sharma reached his century off 112 balls in the 37th over. Later, sixes and boundaries started raining and Sharma scored at such a pace that he smacked the next hundred runs in just 33 balls. He reached the glorious milestone in the penultimate over of the match with a six. However, he was out two balls later after hitting one more six off the next delivery.
