5. Sachin Tendulkar – 143:

Sachin Tendulkar had two responsibilities when he came out to open in this match against Australia at Sharjah. India needed to score 285 to win the match and 254 to qualify for the final of the Coca-Cola cup in the year 1998. And, Tendulkar did not disappoint as he scored a wonderful knock of 143 from just 131 balls during the chase. It was his highest score in limited-overs internationals at that time. It included nine fours and five sixes. However, the objective couldn’t be achieved and India lost the match by 25 runs. A dust storm interrupted and the target was revised to 276 and 237.
