Chris Gayle, who is considered as one of the strongest hitters of the ball is ruling the sixes chart with 357 maximums to his name in the league. He has accumulated these sixes in 141 innings played in the cash-rich league. His strike rate of 148.96 is enough to prove the fear among bowlers while bowling to the T20 legend. Gayle averages 39.72 in IPL and has scored 4965 runs till now with the help of 6 centuries and 31 half-centuries.

MI skipper Rohit Sharma surpassed AB de Villiers's tally against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 57 of IPL 2023 to occupy the second spot in this elite list. He has also struck the most maximums amongst the Indians in the cash-rich league. In 238 innings, the right-handed batter has smashed 257 sixes and 553 fours. Rohit has amassed 6211 runs at an average of 29.57 and a strike rate of 130.04.

 de Villiers is the third name on this list with 251 sixes to his name in the league in comparison to Gayle’s total of 357. The Proteas cricketer has also hit 413 fours in the 170 innings and strikes at a rate of 151.68 per 100 balls. He has played for Bangalore and Delhi franchises in the tournament. AB de Villiers has aggregated 5162 runs at an average of 39.70 with 3 tons and 40 fifties in the league.

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni is fourth on the list of cricketers with the most sixes in the IPL. He has smashed 239 maximums in 217 innings in addition to 349 fours. Dhoni averages just below 40 in the league while his strike rate is 135.95. He led the Chennai Super Kings team since the inaugural season in 2008 and won the trophy four times in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021.

Virat Kohli is fifth on the list of cricketers with the most sixes in the IPL. He has smashed 234 sixes in the 229 innings he has played, with 643 fours coming from the bat as well. He has aggregated 7263 runs in the cash-rich league at an average of 36.72 which also includes 50 half-centuries and six centuries.
