Thisara Perera isn’t someone to die wondering. The Sri Lankan batsman comes in the lower middle-order and has the potential to demolish any bowling attack. He isn’t the most consistent batter going around, but on his day, he is good enough to give oppositions nightmares in broad daylight.

That he plays at a strike-rate of 152.60 shows how much destructive the left-handed batter can be. In 81 matches, Perera has 1,201 runs at an average of 24.02. The 31-year-old only has three half-centuries to show for his efforts.

He didn’t have the best of outings in the World Cup after which he was sidelined for a while. The Colombo-born recently made his comeback in the home ODI and T20I series against the West Indies. Perera is no mug with the ball either, having picked 234 wickets.
