Shaun Tait, an Australian cricketer was the fastest bowler in the world in his early career. He was dubbed as ‘The Wild Thing’ because of his slinging bowling action. He retired from all forms of cricket in 2017. Pakistan national cricket team roped in the prodigy as a bowling coach in the year 2022.

Tait has often been described as ‘erratic,’ although his unpredictability has resulted in being a positive factor in dismissing batsmen. Tait has also been criticized as being ‘expensive’ during his career. However, he earned a reputation for himself for bowling fast and rattling the batters.

Tait played for Rajasthan Royals from 2010 to 2013 and bowled the fastest delivery in the history of the IPL, which remains unchanged to this date. He clocked 157.3 kmph against Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals).
