Australian cricketer Ellyse Perry is one of the very few people who are destined to scale big heights in career. She is the first person to represent the southern hemisphere nation in both cricket and soccer World Cup tournaments. Her impeccable temperament was on show when the Southern stars won their maiden ICC T20 title in 2010. She bagged 3-fer in the all-important final when they were defending mere 118 runs and it included the scalps of Suzie Bates and Amy Satterthwaite.

At the age of 17, Perry started leading Kangaroos bowling unit and till now she has taken 261 international wickets. Along with her primary skillset, her batting has also improved leaps and bounds as she averages 50 in ODI cricket. Ellyse Perry is a tough cookie and the prime example is her 3-wicket haul in 2013 World Cup final where she played with an injured ankle and painkilling injection to compliment it.

Recently the Cricket Australia has hiked the female player payments from $7.5m to 55.2m. One of the players who has reaped the benefits of this new deal is Ellyse Perry as she earns around $0.13m ( 95.32 lakhs INR).

These women cricketers are paid way less than their male counterparts but in recent years there has been a change in the salary structure which is a step in the right direction.
