The visiting teams India Under-19s and Bangladesh Under-19s got better of the home team in the first two matches of the Tri-Nation Under-19s tournament. A collective bowling effort from the Indian team saw the hosts getting restricted to 204/10. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal anchored the chase for Indians with a 115-ball 78 to steer his team to a 5-wicket win with 64 deliveries to spare.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Youth side got an even bigger win against England. The home side was six down for just 87 but the fifties from Lewis Goldsworthy (69*) and Kasey Aldridge (58) pushed the total to 200/7. Bangladesh lost a couple of early wickets but Towhid Hridoy’s unbeaten 70 eased the chase. Shahadat Hossain scored a 60-ball 57 as the visitors cruised to a 6-wicket win with 71 balls to spare.
