Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is known to be very vocal on and off the field. Time and again, he has come out in support of the Indian army. He has never been shy in lauding the efforts of the Indian soldiers and has often urged the people to respect the sacrifices that the armed forces do for the country. The way Virender Sehwag usually puts up his point in the social media strikes the right chord on most occasions.
Needless to say, he has become a social media sensation in the recent times. While he is best known for his sarcastic digs and trolls, his tweets on the armed forces are also very well accepted and are on the serious note. Time and again, he has bashed the people who have raised their voices against the Indian army.
Whenever something bad happens to the soldiers, Sehwag makes it a point to show his solidarity. Recently, he had urged the fans to salute the soldiers wherever they see them. Now, when Rajouri district saw the 23rd incident of a ceasefire violation of this month on Friday, Virender Sehwag could not hold back his emotions.
The Pakistan army attacked the Indian posts and the civilian areas as well with mortar bombs along the Line of Control (LoC). This was the third consecutive day when the Pakistan army showed such cowardice. Sehwag took to the social media to appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of the Indian soldiers. He hailed them as the best in the world. He compared the services of the soldiers to that of a mother who works selflessly for her child and the family.
“Our soldiers are more than a mother who works selflessly and asks nothing in return. Love & respect to the best army in the world. Jai Hind,” tweeted Virender Sehwag.
