Shikhar Dhawan has turned out to be one of the most successful openers of Team India in the limited-overs format in the last five years. He has significantly raised the bars for the upcoming youngsters. Dhawan is always seen pretty active on the field and his ‘Kabaddi’ celebration’ after making a century is something that makes his fans go crazy.

The star Indian opener made his first-class debut in 2004 from Delhi, but made his first appearance for India in 2010, although he was never picked up as the first-choice opener by the selectors. He played his debut match against Australia and got out for a duck, but the days changed for him after his Test debut where he scored a brilliant 187 against Australia after that he became a regular face of Team India in limited-overs. However, in Tests, he didn’t get much success

Shikhar Dhawan and his hobbies

Recently, a promo of a TV show “Aap Ki Adalat” rolled out. In that Dhawan acknowledged that when it comes to cricket, he remains focussed as ever. He discussed his nervousness ahead of his debut for India and at that moment his naughty-side had taken a backseat then.

When anchor Rajat Sharma asked him about his hobbies. Shikhar accepted that he does like to do Shayari but unlike normal people he like cutting hairs of his fellow teammates. Dhawan is seen reminiscing his childhood days, admitting that he used to hide crackers in letterboxes of his neighbors!. He also enacted his trademark Kabaddi celebration for the fans present in the show.

Rajat also asked Dhawan about his tweet going against former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi. Dhawan went on to say that he didn’t like the tweet by the Pakistani all-rounder and also admitted that tweeting against Pakistan cricketers is his new hobby. Shikhar Dhawan is an outspoken cricketer, who never backs when it is about his nation.

In the past, Shahid Afridi tweeted over the situation in Kashmir, “Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self -determination, and independence. Wonder where are the UN and other international bodies and why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?”.

Shikhar Dhawan didn’t like the way Afridi tweet and revolted back with a tweet to the former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi, “Pehle khudke desh ki haalat sudharo. Apni soch apne paas rakho. Apne desh ka joh hum kar rahe hai woh acha hi hai aur aage jo karna hai woh humein ache se pata hai. Zyaada dimaag mat lagao (Improve the state of affairs in your country first. Keep your views to yourself. Whatever we are doing in our country is good for us and we know what we will do in the future too. You do not need to worry about that),” Shikhar tweeted.

The full-length show will go on air on 28th September 2019. The next assignment of the Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan is to feature in Vijay Hazare Trophy for Delhi. The promo of the show was just 46 seconds but fans are waiting for the full show to roll out fast.
