Harbhajan Singh is not active in cricket for quite some time now but has been very active on social media. The veteran spinner makes sure to give his views on the game and other day-to-day affairs in the country on a daily basis to his millions of followers on the social media platform. His last competitive game was the IPL 2019 final.

Harbhajan was expected to play in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) but had pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons. The former India spinner was a part of the Chennai Super Kings squad but eventually decided against traveling to the UAE for the tournament. Along with him, Suresh Raina had also pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons.

But unlike Harbhajan, Raina had traveled to the UAE with the team before returning home. CSK definitely missed their senior players as they had a poor outing in the tournament. For the first time in the history of IPL, CSK missed out on a playoffs spot. The three-time champions finished at the seventh spot in the eight-team competition.

CSK finished IPL 2020 with 6 wins from 14 league games. 3 of those wins came in their last three games after they were already out of the tournament. They, however, managed to spoil the parties of a couple of teams towards the end. CSK beat Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders to end their hopes of making it to the playoffs.

Harbhajan Singh trolled

Harbhajan Singh’s knack for giving his views on almost every matter recent led to him being trolled on Twitter. The Twitter users had some fun at the expense of the World Cup-winner after he asked whether Indians ‘seriously’ need a vaccine against Covid-19. He pointed out that India’s recovery rate without the vaccine is 93.6 percent while vaccines that were being developed seems to have less accuracy rate.

The former India spinner even mentioned data stating Pfizer and biotech vaccine’s accuracy is being claimed at 94 percent, while Moderna’s and Oxford’s accuracy rate is at 94.5 percent and 90 percent, respectively. Twitter users were amused with Harbhajan’s tweet and were quick to troll him. Some even asked him to delete the tweet.
