India and Pakistan don’t play any bilateral cricket and thus their contests in ICC and ACC events draw even more attention. The last time these two teams met was in the Champions Trophy 2017 final. Every Indo-Pak contest creates new records in terms of viewership as fans from both the countries leave everything else aside when it is time for the big game. When the Asia Cup 2018 schedule was announced it cleared a date – September 19 when India will next play Pakistan.
They are in the same group and will face off in Dubai which will be the first time this happens in the UAE since 2006. Six teams will play the Asia Cup T20 – defending champions India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and one team from the qualifier. Hosts UAE, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman and Singapore are the six teams that will fight for the final spot in the tournament.
India, Pakistan and the qualifier will comprise the Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are slotted in Group B. Two top teams from each group at the end of the first round of matches will advance forward to the Super 4, where they will play a match each to determine the finalists for the big game that is slated for September 28.
Since it is time for India vs Pakistan the fans are already excited and in no time it was trending all over social media.

India and Pakistan are in same group because #ICC has doubt if Pakistan will be out from group stages itself and there will be no rivalry of #INDvsPAK 😅
