Bangladeshi batsman Sabbir Rahman has become the center of all trolls yet again on the social media. The last time around when he was targeted by the social media was when he had claimed that the Bangladeshi side can chase down 500 runs in an ODI fixture. Now, he has come to the fore yet again in the memes and trolls for having said that he can become like ace Indian batsman Virat Kohli.
In the current day cricket world, the Indian captain is arguably the most consistent and successful batsman across all the three formats of the game. He recently equaled Ricky Ponting’s tally of 30 ODI tons to become joint second on the list of batsmen with most ODI tons in the cricket history. Hence, it comes as no surprise why the Twitterati could not digest it when Sabbir Rahman claimed that he can be like Kohli.
Rahman was under the firing range in the recent times for having underperformed in the Test cricket. But he played out to his skins in the ongoing second Test against Australia at Chittagong. He scored a fighting 66 after arriving at the crease with the scorecard reading 115/5. Soon after the day’s play, he expressed his happiness over the way he contributed to the team’s cause. He went on to quote that he can become like Kohli but does not like any comparisons since it is not his priority.
“I am happy to make a contribution for the team. I had the right mindset when I went out to bat. I don’t have much experience but I train a lot. It is important to play in your own way in these wickets. I might have got out earlier if I tried to survive in this wicket,” quoted Sabbir Rahman.
“I can become a batsman like Virat Kohli, everything is possible. I can’t be compared to him; it is more important to score runs for the team,” Sabbir said.
The Twitterati surely could not control their emotions after having seen such comments. They came up with hilarious response on the same.
Here is how they reacted:
Virat kohli is best because he wanted to be the best, he didn't want to become like anyOne.
