Twitter frustrated as MS Dhoni bags a three-ball duck against Hong Kong

He got the loud cheers from the sparse crowd when he came out to bat at the Dubai International Stadium. Shikhar Dhawan’s dismissal led to MS Dhoni striding out in the 41st over and the fans hoped for him to make light work of the inexperienced Hong Kong bowling attack. But the veteran’s poor run with the bat extended from England to Asia Cup as well as he was dismissed for a three-ball duck by Ehsan Khan.

Dhoni is a slow starter nowadays and struggles to even rotate the strike when it comes to playing the spinners early on in his innings. But very few would’ve anticipated of him getting out without troubling the scorers today especially when his last outing against the same team was a three-figure score back in 2008. However, his footwork once again was not up to the mark against the three deliveries faced to spin.

It was a very faint that even the bowler didn’t pick it but Dhoni, to his credit, walked without even looking at the umpire and definitely his form is a concern now. Even the crowd present at the Stadium was extremely disappointed as they were expecting a finishing knock from their hero. With India facing Pakistan tomorrow, it is necessary for the Men in Blue that Dhoni regains his touch as soon as possible.
