Twitter goes berserk ahead of the PSL final

The Pakistan Super League final between the Peshawar Zalmi and the Quetta Gladiators is just about to get underway from 8 pm on Sunday at the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore. Cricket fans from all over the world are eagerly looking forward to the huge final that promises a lot of excitement and cricket. The final is being played at Lahore although Lahore did not manage to reach the final. Twitter is going berserk about the final and people cannot wait for the start of the climax.

The build up to the final has been really interesting as Peshawar Zalmi’s Darren Sammy gave all of us something to laugh at prior to the game. The West Indian T20 winning captain posted a video with Pakistan player Younis Khan where he told that all the Zalmi players along with their boss will shave their head if Peshawar Zalmi goes on to lift the trophy.

Bringing cricket back to Pakistan has been a long time desire of every Pakistan cricket fan and the Pakistan Super League has successfully done the same. The tickets have sold at an alarming rate which clearly shows the desire in the Pakistani fans to witness the beautiful game of cricket.

Looking at the line ups of both the teams one can come to a conclusion that Peshawar would have a slight edge over the Quetta Gladiators as far as the foreign players are concerned. Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi has already confirmed that all their five foreign players will travel to Lahore to take part in the all-important final.

On the other hand, the foreign players of the Quetta Gladiators have backed out from the prestigious final due to security concerns. However, the Pakistani government has confirmed strong security arrangements during the match to ensure a smooth and safe final.
