India and New Zealand are producing a cracking affair as they are involved in the Final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship. Entering the contest, India didn’t spring any surprise in their playing XI as they decided to go with tried and testing bowling line-up.
Though England has a reputation for producing pace-friendly pitches, India decided to trust the spin combo of Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja as they are playing with two spinners and three seamers. The pace trio features the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Ishant Sharma.
Notably, India didn’t pick up the seamer Mohammed Siraj for the final. Siraj was the wrecker-in-chief for India during the India tour of Australia as he picked as many as 13 wickets in three Test matches. Though Siraj isn’t a part of the WTC Final, the 27-year-old found himself trending on Twitter.
The reason behind the same is that Siraj’s picture from the stands at the Southampton has gone viral on social media. In the viral snap, the right-arm seamer can be seen talking on a walkie-talkie. As the picture caught the attention of the netizens, they came with hilarious memes and jokes to guess the reason behind the seamer talking on a walkie-talkie.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Mohammed Siraj’s viral picture

New Zealand in lead after Day three
India started their run in the World Test Championship final on a flying note as they were at 146 for three at the end of Day two with skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane on the crease. However, New Zealand pacers delivered a spectacular performance on day three as they quickly picked the wickets of Indian batters.
In the end, India could succeed in posting only 217 runs on the scoreboard. Kyle Jamieson was the pick of the bowler for New Zealand as he picked as many as five wickets while Trent Boult and Neil Wagner have two under their belt.
Batting in the second innings, the New Zealand openers put up a good show as they stitched a 70-run partnership. However, Ishant Sharma and Ravi Ashwin gave the first breakthrough to their team as they picked Tom Latham and Devon Conway respectively.
