India captain Virat Kohli hardly gets negative publicity. Thanks to his enviable records both as a batsman and captain, the 30-year-old mostly steals the headlines for the right reasons. However, it is not to say that he never gets to meet one or two odd occasions when the fans find his acts less favorite. And recently, one such occasion surfaced online and Kohli was trolled.

It so happened that Kohli took to Twitter to post a picture of himself not wearing any upper garment and only a pair of shorts. The picture sees him sitting with his face turned away from the camera. Kohli also captioned the picture, saying, “As long as we look within, we don’t need to seek anything outside.”

The bold avatar of the cricketer left the fans intrigued and they came up with a whole lot of creative reactions to it. They created memes and even brought into the discussion pictures of Anushka Sharma, the Bollywood actor who is the wife of Kohli. Some even joked hinting that Kohli was paying the price for not abiding by the new traffic rules.

Kohli recently became India’s most successful Test captain

Kohli, one of the most prolific scorers India has produced in the game who completed 20,000 runs recently, also saw himself going to the top of the table as the most successful Indian captain in Tests. He bettered his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s most wins of 27 in the longer format with his victory in the second Test against the West Indies in Jamaica last week.

Kohli is also the only Indian captain to have won a Test series in Australia. With the bat, however, Kohli did not have as expected an outing against the Caribbeans and slipped to the No.2 spot in the ICC Test rankings. Kohli’s next assignment is a home series against South Africa featuring three T20Is and as many Tests. India are leading the world Test Championship points table at the moment with 120 points collected from a 2-0 win over the Windies.
