Twitter Reactions: Twitter lashes out at Rohit Sharma, hail the return of Maggie

After a poor outing in the first innings, Rohit Sharma was promoted to number 3 ahead of Cheteshwar Pujara in the second innings to get some runs under his belt. It was an opportunity for Rohit to seize after Murali Vijay was dismissed by Morne Morkel. But, instead, he returned back with a golden duck.

In the first innings too, Sharma dashed expectations after he got out cheaply for just a single run. Ajinkya Rahane needed a support after Kohli’s dismissal, but he failed in doing that. It seems like Rohit Sharma is a completely contrasting individual when he comes out as a Test batsman as compared to the ODI batsman he is.

It also gave his critics another reason to take a dig at him and soon the social media was flooded with sarcastic trolls. Rohit has always garnered attention in the internet space. There have been many instances where he has been the center of humorous embarrassments and funny memes.

Therefore, after he got out immediately after arriving at the crease for the second time, Tweeples wasted no time and got into swift action. Tweets began to follow soon which mocking the batsman. No one can understand or has a clue about what exactly the problem for this “talented” batsman when he comes out to bat in the whites.
