In another thrilling and nail biting T20 between India and Australia, India again managed to keep their nerves as they went on to chase the target of 198. They achieved the target in the final delivery as India registered a significant victory by 7 wickets.
Earlier in the game, Australia chose to bat first and skipper Shane Watson played a magnificent 124 runs not out from 71 balls to propel Australia’s total to 197-5. Travis Head also raced his way to 26 runs off just 19 balls.
Coming out to bat, India rolled on to another destructive start with Rohit and Kohli again scoring blistering fifties and guiding India to a monstrous start. India seemed to be in some sort of trouble when they needed 51 runs in 5 overs with Raina and Yuvraj new to the crease.
But Raina just displayed some unorthodox style of his batting and scored 49 off just 25 balls. With 17 runs required off the last over, Yuvraj Singh joined the fray by hitting a boundary and a six to lower the equation while Raina hit the winning shot for a boundary.
On course of this victory, India also went on to become the first ever team to whitewash Australia in Australia. Also it was their fourth consecutive victory after four losses in a row. Shane Watson won the man of the match while Virat Kohli won the man of the series with 199 runs in the series.
Twitter again kept everyone entertained and amused with some superb tweets. Here are some of the hilarious Twitter reactions during the match:-
