Some impressive bowling from the New Zealand pace battery and a fighting knock from Kane Williamson ensured that the Kiwis completed an important win over the visiting Pakistanis. This was also the hallmark of Williamson’s third win third win in Test matches.
After taking over as skipper of the New Zealand cricket team, the New Zealand skipper has claimed three wins, two of which came in his first two matches as captain against Zimbabwe. However, now, with the fact that the Kiwis have completed a win against Pakistan, who were the world number one team not so long ago, will be sweeter as far as Kane Williamson is concerned.
Colin de Grandhomme was the man of the match as he became one of three players to be crowned the man of the match in his debut Test against Pakistan. India’s RP Singh and South Africa’s Kyle Abbott are the only other players to be bestowed with this honor. What is more impressive is the simple fact that all of them are fast bowlers.
Jeet Raval and Kane Williamson impressed with some impressive batting acumen as they smashed the ball to all parts in the second innings. Williamson played a captain’s knock as he slammed 61. At the same time, Jeet Raval was playing a patient knock as he managed 36 runs, a patient innings to say the least.

A comfortable victory for New Zealand. Pakistan's reckless batting in the second innings cost them the match. #NZvPak

This pitch was fast & furious.
It no means that there is no need of #YasirShah. I think you should drop Aslam and Put #SharjeelKhan. #nzvpak— Geo super (@geosuperhdtv) November 20, 2016

A fitting end to 1st #NZvPAK Test. Jeet Raval, who scored 55 & 36* in difficult conditions on debut, hit the winning boundary.#PakvNZ
