Twitter reaction: New Zealand v South Africa 1st T20I, Amla leads South Africa to an easy win: The first innings of one of the most awaited T20Is came to an end, AB Vs the team that gave an awesome performance in the last World Cup, nobody wanted to miss the live action of the smashing hits and drama as New Zealand v South Africa streams live tonight. The New Zealand side seemed a bit out of action but the South African team kept the fans engrossed with their action with the ball. Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson gave a great start to the New Zealand side with their scorecard reading 42 for each of the openers.
Willamson was rather attacking as his 42 came off just 21 deliveries with 8 boundaries. Guptil on the other hand scored his 42 in 37 balls but his shots did find the boundary 5 times, unfortunately for the Kiwis, the two openers could not carry the game for a long time and did not find a back-up from the rest of the batting line up supporting the opening start they provided.
As for the Proteas, the bowlers made a comeback taking wickets and pulling the horses as far as the run rate is concerned. Awesome catch by the Superman AB de Villiers added spice to the clash, South Africa wrapped up the chase soon enough. Amla missed his half century by two runs. South Africa won the 1st T20I by 6 wickets with 13 deliveries still in hand, as Behardien struck the winning runs for South Africa.
Here’s how twitter reacts to the New Zealand v South Africa 1st T20I:

42 by Guptill and Williamson today is second highest identical score by opening batsmen in T20Is. Highest: 73 by Butt & Akmal vs Bang 2010.

Is this how the modern game is played or the New Zealand batsmen are playing too many aerial shots ?
