Twitter Reaction to Australia’s 5th World Cup victory in MCG: Australia defeated New Zealand in the 2015 World Cup final to win their 5th World Title in front of 93,000 fans in the scenic and historic MCG.
Their bowlers delivered when it was needed, bowling New Zealand out for 183 runs. James Faulkner took 3/36 and Mitchell Johnson took 3/30 with Mitchell Starc taking 2 wickets including that of Brendon McCullum in the first over. And then their batsmen did the chasing of those runs with surgeon like precision. New Zealand gave their all in the World Cup final, but fell short on the final hurdle in the final. Grant Elliot top scored with 83 and Ross Taylor scored 40.
