Twitter Reactions: Virat Kohli slams his maiden T20 century

Virat Kohli continued his brilliant run with the bat as he slammed his maiden T20 century against Gujarat Loins at the Saurashtra Cricket Association, Rajkot. The skipper opened the innings and went on to bat till the end of the innings. And, as usual, Kohli dominated the bowlers and batted in full control to derail the opposition completely.

Luck finally seemed to have come Kohli’s way after he won the toss today afternoon after losing it 4 consecutive times on previous occasions. After losing Watson early, Kohli settled in with de Villiers for a 51 run stand before the partnership was broken with the wicket of the latter in the 8th over.

Karnataka boy KL Rahul then combined with his captain and both went to clobber 121 runs for the 3rd wicket. As anticipated, Kohli was the aggressor in the stand, scoring runs at ease. He battled cramps and reached his fifty in the 14th over of the match.

There was a time when the batting ace had slowed down for a couple of overs. However, he pressed the pedal and went accelerating towards his maiden century swiftly. By the time the 1st innings reached the final over, Kohli was sitting at 85, requiring 15 to accomplish the feat in the last six balls. And, he did not disappoint as he cracked two boundaries off the last two ball to reach his milestone.
