Twitter Reactions as Rohit Sharma, good bowling dust Bangladesh and carries India into the Semi Finals: India at the moment is the team of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. The defending champions have lived up to every hope; the lightest and the brightest expectation of every Indian cricket fan has been fulfilled as the team has registered their 7th consecutive win in the tournament and uprooted Bangladesh by 109 runs in the quarter-final contest to march their way into the Semi finals.
It was India vs Bangladesh and there was always nothing serious enough for India to worry about; just for the cricket they have played in the tournament. But it needed them to glow, as this was a Big match, the quarter-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, a knock out game and there was no scope for error. And MS Dhoni’s boys did not commit any.
The team was pushed a bit with two quick wickets in form of Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli but the other opener Rohit Sharma stepped up to the call of the team, absorbed immense pressure kept the score board ticking; with Suresh Raina coming good at the other end the two took India towards a huge total from the spot of bother.
Rohit stuck a fantastic, one of the most mature and a big hundred on the important night. They set Bangladesh a stiff 303 to win at the MCG under lights, with the bowling that India has and Bangladesh’s batting made it even more difficult.
Regular wickets by a concentrated fast bowling attack did not let any Bangladeshi batsmen get along and by the 45th over they were all done for 193 runs. This is India’s 7th straight win in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and also the 7th consecutive occasion when they have bowled out the opposition.
A dominating performance form the Men In Blue did not give Bangladesh any chance of claiming the match and grabbed the Semi-final spot fixed. Bangladesh had a chance if it was a 100 meter dash…in a marathon of 100 overs India had to win. Better team. Much better.
