Twitter Reactions: Billings bills the 1st T20I in favor of England: England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and chose to bat first in the 1st T20I of the series at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This match marked the debut for two players for England right-hand batsman James Vince who plays for Hampshire in County cricket and 39 years and 20 days old right-hand batsman Rafatullah Mohmand debuted for the other team.

England batting first after some early jitters, put up a solid show, as debutant Vince scored 41 and stitched a 76-run stand with the captain. There was more contribution from the lower middle order where skipper Morgan and Sam Billings adding a 65 runs partnership; the former stayed unbeaten on 45 and Billings scored 53 from 27 balls. It ensured England set Pakistan a challenging 161 to win.

The hosts had a poor yet typical start to their innings losing Sarfaraz Ahmed in the second over and there after they made sure to give England a wicket at regular intervals. A 160 chase is always a tricky one and if none of your batsmen get past the 20s it becomes tougher. Medium pacer Reece Topley and Liam Plunkett grabbed 3 wickets each and in the end Pakistan fell 14 short of the title put ahead of them.

This win gives the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 3-match T20I series, the second match of which will be played tomorrow.
