Pakistan registered an emphatic series victory against the Caribbean by winning the 4th and the final encounter at the Queen’s Park Oval by 7 wickets to seal the series by a 3-1 margin. The Pakistan bowlers were exceptional upfront and derailed the hosts’ progress with wickets at regular intervals. They eventually managed 124 in their allotted 20 overs. The visitors chased in down by 7 wickets and with an over to spare.
Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and put the hosts in. West Indies were jolted early with the loss of Evin Lewis’ wicket who was instrumental in keeping the series alive for West Indies after helping them win the 3rd encounter. Chadwick Walton played some delightful shots en route to his 40 of 31 deliveries which contained 2 four and 4 maximums.
They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and was looking down the barrel unless T20 World Cup hero Carlos Brathwaite smashed a 24 ball 37 to ensure West Indies crossed the 120 mark. His innings was constructed with a couple of fours and sixes each. Shadab Khan and Hasan Ali were the wreckers in chief for Pakistan bagging a couple of wickets each.
The visitors got off to a brisk start with Kamran Akmal playing some delightful shots. The duo of Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad put on 40 run stands for the opening wicket before Akmal departed. Babar Azam joined Shehzad in the middle and the duo played sensible cricket. The required rate was never in question as they had enough wickets in hand.
Shehzad played some graceful shots en route to half-century which was the pillar of Pakistan’s run chase. Azam was his perfect foil as he rotated the strike along to keep the scoreboard ticking. He eventually scored 38 before being run out by Rovman Powell. It was a dominating display by Pakistan which will surely help them going into the ODI and Test series.
Twitterati was pretty active throughout the match and there were certain tweets which described the proceedings in the best possible way.

No T20I attack is better suited to bowling on tired pitches than Pakistan's. They've thrashed West Indies 6-1 across two series. #WIvPak
