India and England are producing a thrilling show in the series-decider of the five-match T20I series at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. India is having the best of time on the field as the Indian batsmen are ruling the show by totally outplaying the visitors’ bowling unit. Though England is slightly behind the host side in the first innings, there has been no compromise over the effort made by the players.

Mumbai’s swashbuckling batsman Suryakumar Yadav was again impressive in the match as he played a match-defining cameo for the Men in Blue. Surya came to bat at Number 3 after Rohit Sharma walked back to the pavilion playing a stunning inning of 64 runs off 34 deliveries.

The 30-year-old Yadav had played a match-winning knock of 57 off 31 balls in the fourth T20 International against England. The batsman carried his brilliant form in the do-or-die game too. While facing 17 deliveries, Surya racked up a score of 32 runs including 3 boundaries and 2 maximums.

Jason Roy and Chris Jordan take a stunning catch

However, the right-hander’s stunning show came to an end as Chris Jordan made a brilliant effort to take the catch. The second ball of the 14th over saw Adil Rashid bowling a googly to Suryakumar and the batsman hitting the ball towards the wide long-on. The ball was all set to cross the boundary line and add another feather of Surya’s illustrious innings but Jordan ran towards the ball and managed to grab it with his right hand.

However, Chris couldn’t balance himself and was about to touch the boundary line but before that, he flicked the ball towards Jason Roy who successfully completed the catch to bring an end to Surykumar Yadav’s innings. The stunning effort by Chris Jordan was nothing less than a visual delight and one couldn’t help but hail the seamer.

India’s innings came to an end with the hosts scoring a massive 224 runs in the 20 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli emerged as the highest run-getter with his marvelous knock of not out 80 runs off 52 deliveries. Apart from Rohit and Surya, Hardik Pandya also played a match-defining cameo in the end by collecting 39 runs in just 17 deliveries.
