Things have been quite opposite for India in the third Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. After dominating the first two matches of the series, Australia have made quite a comeback as the Indian batting lineup collapsed in Indore.
Skipper Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer, and Ravindra Jadeja were all dismissed early and sent back to the pavilion as things went from bad to worse. Virat Kohli looked strong, but he too was dismissed by Todd Murphy after scoring 22 runs.
India’s collapse could be credited to the Indore pitch that offered turn and uneven bounce from the start. Many experts opined that these types of pitches in action in the third Test were not ideal for the players. The first hour of the match saw massive turns from the spinners, as they continued to wreak havoc on the Indian batting lineup.

Following the Indian team’s collapse, it could be interesting to see how the batting lineup of the visitors would fare against India's bowling lineup, which has been impressive in both the Tests so far.
Notably, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Axar Patel directed the flow of the first two games, and after a dismal batting performance, India will hope that their bowlers can come through once again and make their way back into the match.
