Ravindra Jadeja is among the best all-rounders going around at the moment and he has transformed into one of the vital players across different formats for India in the last few years.

He was missed badly by India during the T20 World Cup 2022 on account of his injury. The fans are eager to see his return to international cricket given the impact he can have on all three departments.

Speaking of Jadeja’s cricketing journey, the left-arm spinner was first spotted in the 2006 U-19 World Cup. He also featured in the 2008 U-19 World Cup where he played a key part in the title-winning campaign under Virat Kohli. He further flourished under Shane Warne’s captaincy at Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008 and it opened the doors for his international debut in 2009.

Jadeja's turnaround in international cricket

Jadeja was seen as a spin bowler who could be handy with the bat at first but he managed to change that by virtue of his performances. He turned his potential into performances and played a key part in India’s resurgence in Tests since Virat Kohli took over the captaincy in 2014.

His batting credentials have improved dramatically and already, he has three centuries alongside 30 half-centuries in international cricket.

Not to forget, Jadeja has the ability to run through batting line-ups especially on the turning pitches in India. He has ten five-wicket hauls in Tests and is among the best fielders in world cricket at the moment. The prolific all-rounder turns 34 today (December 6), and the cricketing fraternity came up with heartfelt wishes on his birthday.
