Paarl Royals avenged their loss in their previous fixture against MI Cape Town as they beat the Kieron Pollard-led side by 59 runs in Match 14 of SA20 2024 on Sunday, January 21 at Boland Park, Paarl. After being put in to bat first, Paarl went on to score 162/3 in their allotted 20 overs riding on half-centuries from Jos Buttler and Jason Roy. In reply, MI Cape Town were bundled out for 103 in 18.2 overs as Bjorn Fortuin picked up three wickets.

At the other end, Obed Mcoy dismissed Ryan Rickleton in the fourth over to reduce MI to 13/3. Connor Esterhuizen (32 off 26) and Sam Curran (18 off 27) tried to stabilize the innings with their 39-run stand off 43 balls but failed to keep up with the required run rate.
