Day three of the second Test between India and Australia is underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, and a lot of drama has already unfolded. With the teams going hard at each other in the first two days, Day 3 so far has a completely one-sided story to narrate.

India are currently leading 1-0 against Australia in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 and will have to win by a margin of 2-1 or more to secure a finals berth for the all-important World Test Championship scheduled to be played from June 7th, 2023.

Australia kicked off Day 3 with a lead of 62 runs with an overnight score of 61/1. They had all of their nine wickets intact, and would have wanted to pile on the runs to put the hosts under pressure after the brutal hammering  in the first Test.

But India had other plans as they looked hungry and determined to fight and eventually inch closer to secure their place in the WTC final and made sure to make the most out of the first session against the visitors in their second innings. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, within minutes into the game started unleashing complete havoc onto the Kangaroos, leaving them yet again searching desperately for answers everywhere.

Australia went on to lose nine wickets in the first session on Day 3 to make a complete mess of their apparent attempt to set a total for India to chase in the fourth innings.

Here's how Twitter reacted to Australia's collapse on Day 3:-
