Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav turned 33 on Thursday, September 14 and wishes poured in from all quarters for the flamboyant star. Over the past year, Suryakumar has solidified his position as one of the best limited-format batters in world cricket. 

With 889 points, he is currently ranked No. 1 in ICC T20I batter rankings, even surpassing the likes of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. There is no doubt that the 33-year-old possesses the ability to hit the ball anywhere around the park, which has earned him the nickname ‘Mr. 360’.

Impressive for both Mumbai Indians in the IPL (Indian Premier League) and India, Suryakumar got to success late. However, he made ample use of every opportunity provided to him and is now a significant part of India’s lineup.

Suryakumar’s record in the format speaks volumes. In the 53 T20Is for India, he has amassed 1841 runs at an average of 46.02 and a strike rate of 172.7. With three centuries and 15 half-centuries in the format, he fully deserves eveyr accolade.

Furthermore, his record in the IPL is equally impressive. Having won the title four times, Suryakumar, who was part of Kolkata Knight Riders’ lineup in 2014, has played a big role for Mumbai Indians in the following years.

The 33-year-old was also selected for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 and is in the squad for the ODI World Cup 2023 that is scheduled to begin on October 5. Given that Suryakumar has got the chance in the World Cup squad, he will be keen on putting in his best performances and improving his ODI record
