Twitter Reactions: England gains a critical 2-1 lead at Edgbaston: The trio of Steve Finn, James Anderson and Ian Bell powered English side to a commanding win by 8 wickets in the 3rd Investec Ashes Test match at Edgbaston. The Australian team got all-out for 136 runs in 1st innings after which they could never recover in the match. With each passing session, the English side strengthened its grip on the match and by the 2nd session of the 3rd day, England won the match. With that they now lead the 5-match test series by 2-1. It was marathon bowling effort from Jimmy Anderson and Steve Finn who accumulated as many as 15 wickets between them which put the home side in driver’s seat.
While, the under fire English middle-order batsman Ian Bell who moved up the order to no.3 in the match, reaped giant fruits for the side as he hammered back-to-back half-centuries in the match which was a low scoring affair. English side won the match with 8 wickets in hand and also earned psychological advantage going into the 4th test match.

The good news for Australia is England's recent form (WLWLWLW) suggests a loss next. The bad news is there is a fifth Test too… #ashes

England are the first team to have a 7 match sequence of Win, Lose, Win, Lose, Win, Lose, Win.
Aus 1979-80 and WI 1995 both had WLWLWL.— Andrew Samson (@AWSStats) July 31, 2015
Is Ian Bell a great test cricketer?
No. But he's bloody good
