Sunrisers Hyderabad took on the Gujarat Lions in an interesting contest. Captain David Warner won the toss as SRH elected to field first. While GL had Dwayne Bravo and Pradeep Sangwan coming in, Sunrisers brought in comeback man Yuvraj Singh.

Batting first, Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum didn’t start on a great note as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ashish Nehra, both began with maiden overs. The pressured helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers with Gujarat being reduced to 34/4. Aaron Finch was the only batsman who could put up a fight as he scored 51 not out from 42 balls.

Gujarat Lions could only manage 126/6 in their quota of 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar and Mustafizur Rahman were the pick of the bowlers as both got 2 wickets apiece. The other Hyderabad bowlers also put up a wonderful effort.

Chasing 127, SRH lost Warner after some exploits. While Shikhar Dhawan batted on, he kept on losing partners from the other side. Yuvraj also didn’t have the best of comebacks as he got out for 5(14). However, Deepak Hooda and later Naman Ojha supported Dhawan well as they took SRH home.

While Dhawan scored 47 from 40 balls as he anchored SRH to a 5-wickets win against GL, Hooda also played a good cameo of 18 from 12 balls. For GL, Dhawal Kulkarni was the best bowler on the night as he took 2 wickets and was also quite economical.

Twitter kept everyone entertained with some splendid tweets throughout the SRH-GL encounter. Right from lauding SRH bowling efforts to trolling GL top order, here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:
