Twitter Reactions: Hazratullah Zazai's onslaught rips apart Nangarhar Leopards

The 2018 APL match between Kabul Zwanan and Nangarhar Leopards in Sharjah turned out to be a high scoring one and had all the ingredients to be an absolute thriller, but some lusty blows from the Zwanan batsmen meant that the encounter turned out to be one-sided. In the end, Rashid Khan’s men won the match by a comprehensive margin of seven wickets.

Devcich guides the Leopards

Zazai wrecks havoc

The run chase was expected to be a hard grind, but opener Hazratullah Zazai made a mockery of the target and helped his team track it down with 13 balls to spare. He set up a stand of 144 runs along with Luke Ronchi in merely 69 balls to take the sting out of the Leopards’ bowlers. The left-hander made utilisation of the field restrictions and notched his half-century in 17 balls.

The 20-year-old accomplished his ton in 44 balls and was dismissed by Ben Cutting after he scored 124 runs from 55 balls with the help of 12 boundaries and nine sixes. Nevertheless, by then the writing was on the walls for Cutting’s men. Rahmat Shah got the other wicket of Luke Ronchi, who silent scored 26 off 24 balls, most importantly lending appropriate support to Zazai.
