Under an inspired Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan has had the better of the world champions, West Indies in the first two T20 internationals. Imad Wasim just made sure that the dominance continues as he continued his good run with the ball, becoming the leading wicket taker of the T20I series thus far.

Imad bagged the wickets of Johnson Charles and Chadwick Walton in consecutive deliveries in the third over of the match to put the visitors in all sorts of trouble. Charles missed a sweep, which crashed into his wickets whereas the ball kept low for Chadwick Walton, who failed to get his bat down on time as the ball hit the toe end of the bat and then went onto the stumps.

Coming back for his second spell, he shattered the stumps of Dwayne Bravo in the 9th over of the match. Bravo played down the wrong line as he tried to drive through the covers. A single towards long-on/long-off may have been a better choice against a delivery on middle stump line. However, Imad won’t complain as he finished with bowling figures of 3 for 21 from his 4 overs.

With 9 wickets against his name in the series, he is leading way ahead on the wicket-takers list this series. Pakistan’s Sohail Tanvir is second on the list with 5 wickets. West Indies never recovered from the early blows and were restricted to 103 for 5 from 20 overs.

Pakistan has already won the three-match T20I series as they are leading the series 2-0. Pakistan will take on West Indies in a 3-match ODI series and 3-match Test series as well.
