India secured an astounding victory by 237 runs in the third Test to gain an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series with just one match to go. This is now Virat Kohli’s first overseas series victory as a captain.
Earlier in the day, India raced their way to 60 runs in 9 overs before giving 87 overs to the Windies batsmen for survival. Ajinkya Rahane top-scored as he remained not out on 78 while Miguel Cummins got a six-wicket haul.
As the hosts walked into bat, Mohammad Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were quick enough to send both the openers back with just 4 runs on the board. Samuels suddenly became impatient as Ishant ended up knocking over his stumps.
Leaving Darren Bravo, no other batsman showed any sense of responsibility as wickets fell in a spree. On the other hand, the Indian bowlers got their act together and never let the pressure off the hook. The captain ran himself out, thanks to a brilliant direct hit by Ravi Ashwin, who had another great Test match.

Ravindra Jadeja hit the final nail in the coffin as West Indies folded up for 108 runs, thus handing over the match and the series to India. This was the first time that India won more than one Test match in a series in West Indies.
Twitter showered praises for some disciplined bowling by the Indian bowlers. They also trolled the Windies batsmen’s attempt in trying to save the game and criticized their lack of intent. Here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during Day 5 of the Test match:

The opposition is poor, but this is an Indian team prepared to go an extra yard to win. It wasn't always so. #IndvWI
