Twitter Reactions: India v South Africa 4th ODI, Kohli lifts India to 299: MS Dhoni opted to bat on a pitch that was expected to slow down in the course of the game. Shikhar Dhawan retained his place in the side even after strings of low scores. Axar Patel, Amit Mishra and Harbhajan Singh all kept their places in an attack which also featured two seamers, but not the recent call-up S Aravind.
The left-armer was left to carry drinks with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohit Sharma doing the seam bowling duties. Rabada got the better of Dhawan early, while in-form Rohit was back to the pavilion in no time. Rahane once again got the going easy, as he notched up vital 45 runs off 53 balls before getting out to Steyn.
Virat Kohli came in at number 3 and looked like his usual self. He constructed the innings with patience and went after the poor balls. Raina joined the party at 139-3. MA Chidambaram Stadium turned out to be the happy hunting ground for Raina, as he stroked his way to a fifty and finally breaking the jinx. With 3 boundaries and a six, Raina played a vital cameo of 53 off 52 balls at a strike rate of 101.92.
The southpaw got out in the 45th over to Steyn as De Villiers took a safe catch. Virat continued his good run, as he brought up his 23rd century with a six. The Chennai heat tried to soak in Kohli’s effort as he unwound in style. Rabada finally got a cramped-up Kohli out, but the damage was done. He went out for a well made 138 off 140 balls, plundering the South African attack for 5 sixes and 6 boundaries.
Rabada got Harbhajan out next on a much talked about ball. Steyn came in to bowl the last over, with 15 runs coming from the last 19 balls coupled with 2 wickets. 69 runs came in the last 10 overs, as South Africa restricted the Indian storm to a certain extent. Indian finished with 299-8, as Steyn finished with 3-61.

Can't decide what I enjoyed more – six to get to 100, muscle-flex celebration or Ravi Shastri's reaction. Take a bow, Mr. @imVkohli #IndvsSA
