The officials took the decision as an aftermath to the Maharastra Navnirman Sena’s open ultimatum to Pakistani actors to leave the country.
A local newspaper reported that IMGC Global Entertainment, a Pakistan-based distribution company which was going to release the movie has decided against it. The chairman of the firm was quoted saying, “Amid current tension between the two countries, we have decided not to release the film.”
A source from the exhibition industry in Pakistan was quoted by a few news websites saying, “The film does not feature in the programming list since no distributor wants to bring it here.”
