The Melbourne Stars’ innings was just about 2 men. At one stage, the Stars were reeling at 16/3, and it looked as if the side would go down meekly. But then, wicketkeeper Joe Clarke and Hilton Cartwright came together and dismantled the Brisbane Heat bowling attack.

The duo was involved in a scintillating 151-run partnership for the 4th wicket. While Clarke scored 85 at a strike rate of close to 200, Cartwright bludgeoned a quickfire 44-ball 79, as the Stars posted a mammoth total of 207/9 on the board.

The Melbourne Stars have now moved to the 4th place in the points table after this superb performance, while the Brisbane Heat side is placed at the 6th position.
