Mohammed Shami has been offered the Grade ‘B’ contract by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after he was cleared by CoA of match-fixing. The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of the Indian board found the fast bowler ‘not guilty’ of the match-fixing claims made by his wife Hasin Jahan on him in the recent past. This comes as a good news for the cricketers after his recent troubles off the field. However, Twitterati has been following all the happenings over the last couple of weeks and has welcomed BCCI’s decision to award the contract to Shami.

Hasin Jahan had come up with some shocking allegations over Shami of having extra-marital affairs and also accused him and his family of domestic violence. While the bowler clearly quashed all the claims of his wife and maintained his stance of stayed clear, BCCI held back his central contract which didn’t go down well with many of the cricket fans. They were of the opinion that the personal and professional life should be separated and holding back the contract wasn’t a great decision.

Hasin Jahan’s fixing claims

Amidst all the headlines that were seeking attention over the issue between Mohammed Shami and his wife, her statement of Shami can bluff his country struck the key people in the Indian board. They right away set an investigation to know the cricketer was involved in any such wrongdoings. However, the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) cleared him on Wednesday from any such claims after receiving the report of ACU of BCCI.

He is now also cleared to play IPL now and he will feature for Delhi Daredevils who used Right to Match (RTM) card for him during the auction this year. Recently, Shami had even burst out crying after he was questioned regarding the same by media and also said that he would prefer dying instead of cheating the country. Twitterati was elated after he was awarded the central contract and hoped that all his troubles end soon.
