Twitter Reactions: Morgan and Ali power England to a big total: The arch rivals England and Australia once again locked horns at Cardiff but this time around it was not an Ashes Test rather the commencement of the limited overs leg of the Australia’s tour of England. Today, in the 1st inning of the only T20I match, the English batsmen swayed away the Aussie bowlers with some high-class and demolishing repertoire of strokes. The pair of Moeen Ali and Eoin Morgan struck a breath-taking partnership of 135 runs for the 3rd wicket after the hosts lost their openers cheaply. Captain Morgan smashed a 39 ball 74 run knock which included as many as 3 fours and 7 sixes.
Moeen Ali who scored 72 runs complemented the English skipper brilliantly and kept clearing the boundaries every now and then. The Australian bowlers seemed clueless as the English batters looked to pile up further misery on the tourists after they had earlier lost the Ashes series. England has set up a stiff target of 183 runs for the Aussie side.
